Christy Mitropolous and the women of TICC celebrated together at the Extravagant Love Women's Conference at the end of March. It was a beautiful event filled with friends, laughter, & joy.
ST CATHARINES, ON – The Grace Television Network, (Grace TV) is moving from St Catharines to Toronto. Since World Impact Ministries (WIM) purchased The Christian Channel in June 1st, 2009, and changed its name to Grace TV, it has grown to become Canada's largest 24/7 provider of Christian TV-programming reaching 60% of Canadian households. The move to Toronto simplifies the day to day operation and makes the channel headquarters more easily accessible to guests and visitors.
Peter Youngren, President and CEO of Grace TV, says, “Grace TV is owned by WIM, which ventured into media almost 30 years ago. We are currently renovating the premises of Toronto International Celebration Church (TICC) at 190 Railside Road to accommodate the needs of Grace TV in the new headquarters. This move is inspiring because the facility in North York will also provide the opportunity to work with the large Christian community in Canada’s largest city. Plus Toronto is the most visited city in Canada, so we expect that more partners and friends from across the nation will have occasion to visit our new headquarters.”
“In order to have a strong place in Canadian media, Grace TV decisively continues in the path it chose in 2009 – Grace TV provides Christian programming that viewers consider relevant. Since the channel was purchased from The Christian Channel in June 2009, Grace TV has grown phenomenally”, says Nathan Thurber, channel’s COO. He continues, “The media department operates fully in Toronto at the beginning of April, while the entire transition time is 6 months. We believe the synergy between Grace TV and its affiliates will benefit from this move. Torontonians are invited to tune in Rogers channel 241, while Grace TV will continue to be available in the Niagara region on Cogeco channel 186.”

The Hope for Haiti Concert with the Perrys was a huge hit! The concert opened with our own Dave and Marjie Imler followed by Ontario's own Gospel trio "Valiant".
Paul Cowell and Nathan Thurber auctioned off the "world's greatest pies" which together fetched over $500 for Haiti. Next they auctioned off the infamous "red jacket" that Nathan teased came with a date with Sweden born Johan Olehall. That offer alone raised the stakes and fetched a heafty sum all in support for Haiti.
When The Perrys hit the stage the crowd was ready for a good time. And a good time we did have! The Perrys did every kind of song in there repertoire & had the people dancing, singing, & cheering for Jesus!
If you missed this event, you sure don't want to miss when The Perrys come again to Toronto!
This Sunday TICC set their clock forward and their minds on Jesus. Pastor Peter spoke a great word about how the Word of God prevails over any situation in our lives. Whether sickness, or poverty, and even things that might not seem so bad but which distracts us from what God has purposed for us. The Word prevails, and the Word is Jesus Christ. Amen.
Plus Dave and Marjie Imler blessed us with a fantastic original song (written by Marjie herself) about God's Grace. It was so good we sang it twice!
Hope to see you next Sunday with the whole church family.
